Riverdale

Offense runs through #1. He is ball dominant and his teammates stand around and watch him play offense.

#5 is their best player. He is the most aggressive player I've seen on film so far, and someone we have to account for at all times.

Not great against Zone
Not a great defensive team in the post
Not a great defensive team overall
Will gamble and trap the ball on screens, but leave people wide open
They do not box out well on defense.

Need to stop ball and keep them out of transition offense. Need to keep ball out of paint on D. They will get impatient and jack up 3s after a few seconds of set offense.

RIVERDALE PLAYER TENDENCIES
PLAYER STRENGTHS WEAKNESSES
#1 - Dawson Woodfine, PG, Jr., 5’6” Good driver. Penetrates to dish and set up teammates. Aggressive defender. Pressures ball well. Keep him in front of you. Won't beat you with the long jumper. Will take 3s from 26 feet. Not a high percentage 3 point shooter but can make them. We actually want him to take those. Shoots right handed at rim even when going left. Plays too much 1-on-1 when offense breaks down. Plays too much 1-on-1 against zone. Doesn't know how to run a zone offense.
#5 - Waymon West, F, Sr., 6’2” First option on offense. Quick driver on offense. Goes right, but can make a nice turnaround left handed hook off the glass. Good mid-range shooter. Pull up 15-footer. Will jack up 3s. Can shoot the 3. Aggressive on defense. Tries to block everything. Disrupts passes. Very athletic. Will out-jump you for rebounds. Have to box him out. Good shot blocker. Can be a great passer when doubled. Undisciplined defender. Will leave his feet. Pump fake on him. Will gamble on D. Go back door on him.
#4 - Evan Wilkerson, F, Jr., 6’0” Strong post player. Good moves with his back to the basket in the paint. Can create his own shots and get to the rim. Good offensive rebounder. Can go left, but shoots w/ right at the rim. Strong from 15'. Runs the floor well and finishes in transition. Struggles to finish at the rim. Doesn't box out well.
#3 - Ryan Wilkerson, SG, Jr., 5’11” Offensive rebounder. Good mid-range shooter. Pull up 15-footer. Can shoot the open 3. Don't leave him open. Good finisher at the rim. Closes out quick on Defense. Can block shots.
#24 - Braylon Burns, F, Sr. 6’0” Good Offensive Rebounder. Fast. Aggressive. Goes after loose balls. Started against Columbia Academy.
#10 - Tolliver, Wing, 6’0” Good long range shooter. Can knock down the open 3.
#13 - Tre White, SG, Jr., 5’8” Will look to make the extra pass. Not a great 3-point shooter.
#15 Lefty. Not a great shooter. Struggles handling the ball.
#14 - Titus White, G, Jr., 5’8 Not a threat. Not a great ball handler.
